Yesterday I talked to one of my friends that I hadn't seen in a long while. It was so nice to talk to her, because I missed her like none other. We talked for almost an hour about what was going on in our lives, what we loved, anything and everything! What I love about talking to her, is that I can tell that when I talk, she listens, truly listens, and that is key for me in a friendship. I also talked to her about something that I had never told anyone, but I trust her, so I told her. What was lovely is that she did not make fun of me for something that was so important to me. In a summary, I love her, she's a wonderful friend! and I'm so excited to see her next week, I honestly can't wait!
Friends are important to me, but the thing is they are all doing something that is far away from me, like moving to Hawaii, or going on missions. Why? Because those are the next steps in their lives, the next chapter and I will not be the one to take that away from them. It's because I love them that I'm not holding them back for my benefit. I will miss them, and do anything to stay in contact with them. I do hope that once we are all married and have children and such, that we stay in contact, visit each other. I don't want to never see them again, I couldn't handle that at all. I need some friend time in my life, and quite a bit at that.
