25 Songs, 25 days

Recently I was looking at a friends blog and she did a post about 25 songs in 25 days, but did it in one day. I thought to myself "that sounds really fun, lets do it" and so here is this blog post.

1. A song from your childhood
You Are My Sunshine -

My older sister had a porcelain music box that played this song. The music box was a teddy bear in a bathtub, and I used to play the tune over and over again. This is my favorite childhood song.

2.  A song that reminds you of your parents
Waiting For A Girl Like You - Foreigner

This was my parents wedding song, so that's why it reminds me of them. It is also pretty cute. I like their choice.

3. A song that calms you down
Stay Alive - Jose Gonzalez
The tune, the words, the way its put together to combine a beautiful song.

4. A song that is often stuck in your head
Zombie - The Cranberries
Because I listen to it way too many times.

5. A song that reminds you of your best friend

North and South Title Theme - L'Orchestra Numerique
Because we both love North and South, especially the soundtrack, so whenever I hear it I think of her.

6. A song that reminds you of the past summer

Young Blood - The Naked and Famous
It's just a song that again, I listened to a lot. It reminds me of any summer or how summer should be.

7. A song that reminds you of your first love

Let It Be Me - Ray Lamontagne
I listened to it a lot when I thought about him, or was having a bad day. It made me feel so much better.

8. A song that makes you hopeful

You & I(Nobody In The World) - John Legend
To be loved as much as the woman he is singing about would be incredible, it makes me hope to have that kind of love one day.

9. A song by my favorite band

The Boxer - Mumford & Sons
It's just an amazing song. I simply love it

10. A song on the soundtrack of your favorite movie

Moon River - Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's
Firstly, I love Audrey Hepburn. Secondly she's an amazing singer. Thirdly the song is perfect.

11. The last song that I have heard

Sweet Serendipity - Lee DeWyze
Tis a great song.

12. A song you love to sing a long to

Moses - Gene Kelly, Donald O' Connor in Singing In the Rain
The perfect song to sing along to!

13. A song that has made you cry

Empty Chairs At Empty Tables - 10th Anniversary of Les Miserables
Such pained emotion, the singer will make you feel what he is feeling. Especially if you are already having a bad day. No other singer could fill his shoes.

14. A song that makes me want to dance

Wake me up before you go go - Wham! - Pomplamoose
Dancing in the way of swinging your hips from side to side and snapping your fingers. If you own the  Just Dance 2 game, then you will know what I am talking about.

15. A song you love but rarely listen to

Big Parade - The Lumineers
Pure beauty right there.

16. The first song listed alphabetically on your music station

Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy
Good emotional choice. Air Five!

17. The last song listed alphabetically on your music station

Young - Air Review
Another really good song. A song I listen to repeatedly.

18. Your favorite song

Stay With Me - Sam Smith
His voice people! He is an angel with an incredible talent to make you feel such emotion!

19. A song that someone has sung to you

Papaoutai - Stromae
My sister Mackenzie was singing this song to me and my sister Micky to tell us about it. What an interesting song. So lovely and wonderful and weird.

20. A song that I cannot stand to listen to

Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepson
It is WAY too repetitive and annoying.

21. A song you can listen to all day and not get tired of

Intro - XX
Simple. No Words. Beautiful.

22. A song you have danced to with your best friend

In Summer - Frozen
If you count your sisters as best friends, then yes I have done a choreographed dance to it with them.

23. A song that reminds you of a former friend

Winnie The Pooh - Zooey Deschanel
Because we both loved Winnie The Pooh, (still do). Mind you we saw this movie in the theater the day it came out, which was like my junior or senior year of HS. We've since chosen pathways and friends.

Now I know there are supposed to be 25 songs, but the other 2 are about songs that remind you of your ex, and current Significant Other. Neither of which I have had the pleasure to enjoy, so that is why I will not do them.

Hope you all enjoyed this music post, because I know that I had a blast picking out which songs to choose.

Enjoy your late sunday evening!
Mercedes
