Defining Art

Today and other days I've been working on my Art History Project. It's been fun and a little tricky to decide what would work best for the specific topic and something that I think is beautiful. As I've been looking at artwork of all kinds of mediums I've found new artists that have beautiful and unique pieces. One of those new found artists is Pascal Campion. His artwork is beautiful, each picture tells a story; stories that tell us how important childhood, love, and family are. His paintings give me a sense of nostalgia and euphoria. His paintings are what art is/should be all about, at least in my mind. Below are some of my absolute favorite paintings by him.
Star Wars Day

Crab Fishing

See, See, See

Sand Castles and You

You Know This Means (Nerf) War
Another note about Art History. I started reading a book about Art Heists, and is it very interesting, so I can't wait to tell you all about it when I'm finished. Question. What is art to you? What are some of your favorite pieces of art?

Yesterday I had a revelation. My (and your) parents are pretty smart. When they tell you to go to bed at like 8pm, it's for a reason. You see, my sleeping habits have been terrible recently. Going to sleep around 11 or later is not good for you and your body, you are drained of your energy and you end up feeling muggy all day long, and yet you keep doing it! On Sunday I fell asleep at around 7pm and slept till 7 the next morning (I had school). I felt absolutely fresh and happy, I wasn't at all tired especially after having breakfast. Moral of the story: Go to bad at a more than reasonable time, give yourself a curfew like when you were a kid. You'll be Happier and Healthier. Something I'm sure we'd all love to be.

A note on Holidays and Festivities. Every time a holiday is coming up I get excited. It's like I can feel it in the weather changes. For example before Halloween I got all excited. Why? I don't know, especially since I don't really like Halloween, but I was. Now that it's November, I'm excited for Thanksgiving. Am I complaining? No, I like to feel excited for all of the holidays because it helps me be happier, and I want to be as happy as possible. Here's to Holiday Excitement!

Have a wonderful and possibly nostalgic Tuesday!
