| Be good to people for no reason |
There has been a lot happening around the world lately, specifically within America. We have a new President, people have been marching for women's rights, pro-life, against Betsy Devos, and most recently, a certain ban against refugees. It's been a busy year already. Where does little ole' me stand in all of this? I'm still figuring it all out, but if I have any say, which I believe I do. It is this.
We are all humans who deserve compassion, love, respect, freedom, kindness, and peace. I believe that if we were in the shoes of these many refugees, that we would all hope to flee to a country that is shown as a country of freedom and new chances. There are always going to be people who are different than us, and that will never change, but we can learn something from them, and we can also show human decency in being loving towards another.
There is so much to say, but if there is any answer to all of this, it's love. Not one of us can achieve our highest potential without love. So lets be our best selves and show each other just how loving we can be. We are fast approaching February; a month so universally known as the month of love. Serve those around you, whether you know them or not. Listen more, show that you care, do something that you've always wanted to do for someone, but have simply put off, do some random acts of kindness. whether that certain someone knows what you did or not. There are so many things each of us can do for someone, so what's holding us back? Just be as loving as you can be.
If you still don't believe me, believe the best of the best; Christ.
He said, "...Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
