Christmas; Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love getting a real tree that smells perfect in all of its pine-goodness. I love listening to songs sung by Bing, or Nat, or Frank, or sometimes even a little Ella or Judy. I love the Christmas spirit, and sensing that everyone is just that much more happy. Even commercialism is pretty, I'm not afraid to admit it! That was for my sisters. However we are missing a key ingredient to Christmas-y goodness; Snow. Snow is very important this time of year, and it has not stuck around with us, though I hear it will snow on Christmas, so I guess I could count that as a Christmas blessing.
Also the other day it was my wonderful mothers birthday. I didn't get to say it to her face, seeing as my parents left for St. George and I guess that I was well into deep sleep. So here it goes, Happy Birthday Mom! I love you for who you are and everything you have done and continue to do. You give me your best advice. You listen to your daughters continual venting. You are the kindest, most caring mother, and you work your hardest, especially when it comes to me. If anyone could be my role model, it would be you. You excel in taking care of your family, immediate and extended. You work your best at keeping a beautiful home to return to and a beautiful garden. The Spirit is felt at home because you strive to live the gospel, and strive for your family to do that as well. Though we may make fun of you for long answers and other things, we love you and I love you!
In other news, I have not read any new books or made any new recipes. Which is kinda weird because I did more of that in college rather than when I have nothing to do, funny how that works. Though hopefully on Christmas Eve, I will knock the socks off of anyone who is coming over with a delicious meal that I will eventually tell you about!
Last Night Me and my twin watched North & South. A wonderfully perfect movie that I've written about already. All I have to say is Love is not the same anymore. Why can't we all have a love of people from the Industrial Revolution?? I mean how hard is it to change your angry ways into love and say the words "Look at me, Look back at me"? This movie has officially ruined and depressed me, but I will continue to watch it.
Have a wonderful Friday!
Mercedes
