Beautiful Findings

Colorful Flats, DIY Hanging Table, Huddersfield Parka, and Red Striped Sweater
It's been a while, hasn't it?

I made Orange Creamsicle "Swig" Sugar Cookies last night. De-Licious. I honestly think Swig cookies are my favorite kind of sugar cookies. Why? Because the dough doesn't take ages to chill, you actually don't have to chill it at all. The changes I made was that I don't put the salt in the dough or frosting, because I am using salted butter, if you are using unsalted butter, then by all means go right ahead. Also I changed the frosting recipe because I didn't have cream cheese on hand, so I had to jump ship, if you will. So what I did, was use sour cream, no milk, added orange juice, and orange extract, plus some food coloring. The change of plans worked wonders.

Now onto the beautiful findings part.

I was casually browsing Goodreads, finding books that I might want to read, when I discovered a children's picture book about Matisse! These moments are what I live for. Because somehow discovering a picture book about a great artist makes them much more interesting and fun to learn about. Then I discovered a book about Kandinsky and my world went crazy, or crazier than it already is! Oh how life chooses to bless occasionally! If only I could find one on Klimt, I think I could die happy.

And yes, I did discover books that are actually for my age group too.

I also have an iPhone, so I have purchased a very pretty iPhone case! It's wooden, and therefore instantly better than the rest, only problem is that shipping is expensive, I understand why it's there, but sometimes...

Now for my continuing Currently Loving:

Red Striped Shirts, that I'll possibly never have the chance to wear, tears are streaming

A sweater with a colorful goose on it, it's pretty much fantastic.

Rain Jackets or WindBreakers or Parkas. They are all beautiful

Wooden things, this could only come from having a last name thats Wood

D'Orsay Flats, all of them are what dreams are made of

Obviously things that are expensive and that I can only see from a distance, sad day

Well, this was successful, my heart will continue to break
Love you all,
Mercedes
