So What Now?

Because by now, everyone you know is making a list of what they hope to accomplish this year. Will they all succeed? I doubt it, but hey good on them for trying!

So, if you are guessing that I'm about to do one of those lists, you're right!

I found this revolutions list according to prophets and apostles. It's real good.

Stop Worrying. I think all of us could do a little better in this category, especially me.

Keep the Sabbath Day Holy. Now through the events of the last year, this has been really important to me. I hope to do even better this year.

Avoid (or get out of) Debt. This is a really good goal, one I'm hoping to do better at this year. Guess what, if you aren't in debt, you most likely aren't doing the first goal: worrying. Two for two!

Invite the Spirit Into your Life. I could use the Spirit a little more, all of us could.

Be Temple Worthy. I'm worthy, I just hope that I am more often inclined to visit the temple. I want to do better than I have the multiple years before this one. This goal also helps me to do better with inviting the Spirit into my life.

See the Best in Others. All of us could do better in this category. We all could take a little time to understand others situations and why they do the things they do. Taking time to understand someone would help us all.

Simplify. This one is so simple, yet difficult. I love the look of simplicity, and yet for some odd reason my life is so opposite. But, baby steps.

Come Unto Christ. Do I need to add much? Do it, you'll feel better.

Show Greater Love for Others. Do dishes, clean up your side of the room. Listen to those who are talking to you. If you do one of these things, you're on your way. If you do all of them, you exceeded my expectations! Go you!

Read the Book of Mormon. I have been working on this goal and have added to it. Or more so, my mom added to it. While my parents are on their mission, I get to read the book three times with three different tasks. Task 1: highlight all passages yellow that talk about the Son of God. Task 2: highlight all passages blue that give you personal inspirations. Task 3: highlight all passages red that talk about the love of God. I was given two years hopefully I can succeed.

Repent. Do better, always try to improve.

Exercise Self-Control. haha, oh man. I feel this could go hand in hand with not getting into debt. Life lesson right here.

Be an Example. Keep your standards, it's tough sometimes, but if there's anything I've learned this last year, keeping those standards are important. Always know yourself and your limits. It'll do you some good.

Be a Leader. This one, at least for me, is a little tough. It's hard, mainly because I'm a little shy. It takes me time to be myself around people. So how am I expected to be a leader, I guess maybe by being an example? Wow, do these goals go hand in hand.

Humbly Accept Correction. Again, and I think my family would agree with me. I could work on this. I am by no means perfect, but I need to learn this one real hard.

Study Latter Day Revelation. If anything, what our Prophets tell us now, is just as important as what was told to us in the Book of Mormon and Bible. Each Prophet has something new and improved for us to learn. Otherwise, why would we have a Prophet?

This is all important to me, and I will try my hardest to succeed in these goals, but I know if I don't totally succeed in these this year, I have more time. I'll be continually getting better. And hey, I'll still try out other goals, like traveling, and eating healthy, and other unattainable goals.

Have a blast this new beautiful year!
