The Usual
As I've lived in Provo for about 7 months, I've come to learn some things I love:
Mountains. I mean we have mountains in Farmington, but they're more like glorified hills. Mountains in Provo mean business. Every day that I see them, they are continually beautiful. I love it.
Summer. Summer in Provo, you will always have something to do. You have concerts to go to. Every Thursday there are food trucks galore. You can take summer walks for an endless amount of time and feel the sun on your whole body.
Living on your own, you discover things. Like, how you are bothered when your roommates don't do their dishes. You feel like organizing your room multiple times, you want to impress your said roommates with how put together you are.
Then again, college life is like returning to your toddler years of life. You (or at least me) eat fruit snacks, go-go squeezes, pb&j, grilled cheese, apple juice, and other food groups that are not the best, but easy. How I'll ever be able to take care of children is beyond me.
Anyways, I love living in Provo and having a lot of friends who are in the same stage of life as me.
Now, I've read a lot of books, and will continue to read more. But here's some of my reviews:
How To Be Parisian Wherever You Are. A decent read, not the most fun, not the absolute worst. I wouldn't care to read it again.
The Chew. What's For Dinner. A book of recipes from the show, the Chew. Easy, but would I own it? Probably Not.
Savory Bites. Again, another cook book, but this time everything listed you can make in a muffin tin. Basically an appetizer book.
Vegetable Literacy. This book is huge, contrary to my previous belief. Loved it though, I would love to own it and use some of its recipes.
Thing Explainer by Randall Munroe. This book is really entertaining. Either it could be easy to read, or somewhat difficult depending on whether you know what he is explaining or not.
A Perfectly Kept House is the Sign of a Misspent Life. I was really disappointed with this book. It really just showed me cluttered rooms, and with that, I am my mother's daughter. I dislike area's the are cluttered and unorganized.
MeQuillibrium. A how-to book about becoming less stressed. Maybe I'll read it again, I could definitely become less stressed.
The New Bohemians: Cool and Collected Homes by Justina Blakeney. I love this book!! Most of the homes depicted and talked about I love to no end. So fun, and I want this book!
Huckleberry by Zoe Nathan. This book is a book for bakers or wanna be's. And something strange, it even oddly smelt of pastries and I died of hunger. I also love this book and want to own it.
Have a fantastic week!
