The Month of Love

Unless you're living under a rock, you know that Valentines Day is just around the corner. I haven't figured out how I feel about it this year. Granted, I do want to bring back the valentines boxes that you decorated in elementary school and give/receive punny valentines cards attached to something more important; candy. That, that is what I truly want.

If there is any doubt amongst you, I'm single. So I could be celebrating "Single Awareness Day", but I know how I feel about the "awareness". I hate it. Be single or be in a relationship, but no one needs to pity you. Galentines Day? Sure thing! Have a night, with your girls, binge watching chick flicks and eating take-out/Ice cream. Now who wouldn't love that? Would it be nicer if I wouldn't have to pay for said food? Yes, but we all know that ain't happenin.

Anywho, I've finally figured out something that makes valentines day a game changer. You don't need to spend it with a significant other. Love is a feeling that is mutual in a whole slew of relationships. Family, Friends, Significant Others, and what not. So, if you don't have a significant other. That doesn't matter. Spend your day with those you love. Serve others and you'll be happier.

Random thought. Who remembers Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch? A great book for this time of year, but don't take my word for it.

Also, food. Food makes any day better, and you can be certain that I will have delicious food on this special day. Chocolate, Ice Cream, Cafe Rio? You name it and I'll eat it. Within Reason.

Eat, you'll feel better,
Mercedes
