Ohana Means Family

...Family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten. If there's any movie that speaks to my heart and soul, it's Lilo & Stitch.

Life has been a whirlwind lately. A whirlwind of emotions. I feel like the reason I haven't posted in awhile was because I wanted to let on that I was and am fine, that I don't let emotions get the best of me. But alas, here I am, about to let you know what's been going on in this here life.

My parents are in South Africa, a many many miles away from little ol' me. Which I love them, I love that they are serving a mission and inspiring their children and grandchild every day in doing so. It's just finally hit me, that they really are that far away. My twin sister has decided for herself that she is going to serve a mission also. I love her just as much, and am proud of her just the same. But alas, it's also chosen to hit me like a ton of bricks that my nearest and dearest friend and sibling since birth will be gone for 18 months. If there is anything I find overwhelmingly important, it is my family. They are my everything, they are my biggest, loudest cheerleaders. They are my strongest support group. They are the ones who will never let me forget my embarrassing moments. They are the ones who will show up as fast as they can when I am in need. In the experience of having our parents go to the land of Africa, I have already learned so much, and the first month isn't even over!

As my birthday comes along this weekend, I feel so blessed to spend the day after with these lovely ducks. I am a lucky duck. I am beyond blessed that I get to spend eternity with them, I couldn't have a chosen a better group of goons than them.

I love each and every one of you! Don't you forget it!

  1. We miss you as well. Reach out to the family that is still in Utah. They will love and take care of you and maybe even feed you.
