My Heart Is Full. . .

Thursday
My heart is full of words and flour that is. I've procrastined this post for long enough, you know, since February. So on this Thursday, I will post all of the recipes and books I've made or read.

Here goes it

RECIPES

Aztec Cocoa. Not my favorite. I think I've just discovered that I dislike bitter hot cocoa.

Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup. Delicious, I'm one who loves the tortilla soup from Zuppa's and this hit the spot for fulfilling the desire to have that soup.

Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Sea Salt. Would've been delicious if my clementines didn't taste old...

Crock Pot Brown Sugar and Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin. Oh me oh my, this is just so delicious, and it making it makes any regular old day, a special one!

World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookie. In my opinion, they are not the world's best chocolate chip cookie, but they are not the worst. So I leave it up to you to decide.

Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala. I mean, I'll always love tikka masala, so I only have high praises.

Hot Ham & Cheese Party Rolls. I love these, they are normally easy, if you aren't making them for a could be stressfull situation; like planning your first ever bridal shower. Yeah, I don't recommend that.

Brie, Apple, and Honey Crostini. So many high praises for these. Just go already, and make them.

Slow Cooker Honey BBQ Beef Brisket. Ugh, this is so so so so good!

Slow Cooker Bacon-Ranch Chicken and Pasta. Not my favorite, not gonna lie. I think it's the ranch powder in it that I didn't love, but overall I doubt I'll make this again.

Simply Perfect Chocolate Cake. So I counted this as two recipes because I used the frosting on this cake on a different cake, then later made the cake. Which btw, they are both delicious.

Raspberry Sweet Rolls. My kind of cinnamon roll.

Chocolate Cake With Bittersweet Sour Cream Frosting. Ignore the frosting, I have yet to try it out, but the cake? It's a darn good cake.

Barbara Kafka's Creamy Lemon Pasta. I LOVE this pasta. I have made it countless times and will continue to do so.

Apple Cinnamon Fruit Leather. I doubled the recipe but not the time in the oven, and then gave up. So I never got to see what it tasted like as leather, but it made real good apple sauce, so I'll take it.

Phyllo Chicken Pot Pie. Not as good as I thought it would be. I had a duh moment, when I realized my favorite part of pot pie, is the crust, so not having that killed it for me.

Nutella Brownies. These are pretty tasty!

Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala. Again, I love tikka masala, so I'll make all the recipes even if they're pretty much the same.

Salted Caramel Chocolate Meringue Brownies. I found these interesting, they were good, but they also tasted odd, in a good way.

Homemade Naan. Best recipe I've found so far.

Caprese Pizza. A new found favorite, make it NOW.

Pizza Crust. A pretty good crust, but I don't if it's the best so far, we'll see.

Hawaiin BBQ Dog With Mango, Chili, Pineapple and Lime Relish. It looked beautiful, but I wasn't sure if the fruit would work well with a hot dog, I was nothing short of BLOWN AWAY by how delicious this was!!

Chocolate Cheesecake Swirl Bundt Cake. Pretty tasty not gonna lie. Oh and instead of using a box cake, I used the chocolate cake of "simply perfect chocolate cake". Worked beautifully!

BOOKS

The 100 Foot Journey by Richard C. Morais. If you loved the movie, well this has a different ending. Not that it isn't happy, but also it isn't as happy. Still good though.

Is Everyone Hanging Out With Me? by Mindy Kaling. Honestly, it wasn't terrible, but out of the many biographies I've read, it just wasn't my favorite.

Seriously,. . .I'm Kidding by Ellen Degeneres. I did enjoy this book. I just like the fact that she can be humorous in a clean way. Though, I still prefer her home book because it is just so beautiful!

The Fortunate Ones by Ellen Umansky. I listened to this one, and I'm still learning to pay wholly attention, and so I missed some of this, but it was interesting. There was some language in it, so be wary.

This Is A Story of a Happy Marriage by Anne Patchett. I really enjoyed this book, and it just re-affirmed why I love short stories. Please read it.

The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. It is beautiful and tells you how you can live a happy and beautiful life. And on top of that, it's got a beautiful cover.

Maps by Aleksandra Mizielinska. I love maps, and I love picture books, and this is the love child that I could only dream about, come to life!

A Unicorn Named Sparkle by Amy Young. It's kinda corny, hah! And simply adorable.

The Story of a Brief Marriage by Anuk Arudpragasam. This is a heartbreaking book, but so well written I would recommend it time and time again, but it does have some descriptions that I dislike. So you choose.

Idaho by Emily Ruskovich. I again spaced out at times, so I missed some stuff, but the way it was written made it a very interesting and enjoyable book to read. I do think there is some language, but I'm not entirely certain.

The Refugees by Viet Thanh Nguyen. I really enjoyed reading this book, and learning about some stories of refugees, even if they're made up. Which I don't remember if they are or not.

Hope you found either something to make or read. Now go out there and fill your hearts with flour and words.
