Here's to a New Year!

2015 is now here. A new year has blossomed. People are making New Year Resolutions, thinking that maybe just maybe they might be able to cross something off that they haven't in years.

What have I done to celebrate the new year or New Year's Eve? Bought two pairs of shoes. Watched Prince of Persia with Mikaela and Sara and drank soda and Martinelli's and worked. Fun stuff let me tell you. I'm sorry to say that New Year's Eve and January 1st are not holidays that I care about. I don't normally stay up late, because I love my ZZZ's and watching the ball drop is let me put it frankly, boring. I am also an introvert, so going to parties where I only talk to those closest and dearest to me, instead of the whole group is just a big no no.

Some things wonderful that I have discovered already in the New Year include:
  • The magical, mystical, and all-encompassing voice of James Bay, listen to his song If You Ever Want To Be In Love
  • I don't have too many goals for this year besides finishing last years goals
  • I want to make a lot of beautiful quilts. Some include

  • I actually want to do a lot of DIY Projects
Other thoughts.
Starting yesterday my mind has been drawn to springtime. Mainly Valentine's Day for some reason not including boyfriends and all things that Valentine's Day is about. It's mainly been focused on making sugar cookies and candy and those Valentine's Day boxes you made in elementary school for Valentine's Day cards and such goodness and happiness. I'm basically being nostalgic, nostalgic for things to happen that haven't happen yet. I am also being drawn to colors similar to the ones in the photo above ^^^ of the fox quilt. Those colors are what spring look like to me, and they excite me to no end.

I hope you all have had a wonderful year. I hope you were able to accomplish something fantastic and momentous. I hope that we may all be able to make new memories this year, to be able to have those little, insignificant at the time moments throughout this year. That you may smile like you've never smiled before, that you may be your best at the time version of yourself. You deserve it, we deserve it!

Love you all dearly, and have a beautiful 2015 year!
Mercedes
